I took two weeks off in October to do some traveling during the fall, when it's not as hot, but the cold weather hasn't hit yet. After the two weeks, I took the following weekend off and the next Sunday after that to do a bit more before wrapping it up for the winter and holing up at home and work. After it starts warming up again, I will do some more traveling. I went to these places during the two weeks off:
Galveston Island;
east Texas;
Texas Renaissance Festival;
and Lost Maples SNA
The following weekend after returning to work, I went to my 25th high school reunion in Carrizo Springs in south Texas. On November 7, I participated in the Texas Big Beat event, which is a fund raising event for a couple of charities at Bush airport in one of the hangars, where I played with 1,454 drum set players and 199 hand percussionists at once in 14 other cities across the country, synchronized online to the same conductor at the airport. Please note that the photos are off by one day.
